Meet Donna Cummins-Campbell, our Chief Learning Officer here at Elleebana HQ in Burleigh Heads. With over four decades of experience in the beauty and wellness industry, Donna brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and purpose to her role. A true pioneer in beauty education, she leads the development and execution of Elleebana’s global educational programs, helping shape the next generation of industry professionals. We recently sat down with Donna to explore her remarkable story, where she shares how a childhood dream blossomed into a purposeful career dedicated to empowering others through knowledge, self-care, and holistic wellbeing.

“Stepping into the beauty industry over 40 years ago, I could never have imagined the depth of passion, growth, and fulfillment this path would bring me. What began as a childhood dream quickly grew into a lifelong career rooted in education, innovation, and an unwavering belief in the power of self-care and holistic wellness.

From 1995, I had the privilege of working as an educator with a college owned by Suzette Barlin—Otto’s mother—and it was here that I was first introduced to Elleebana. This experience proved to be a defining moment. It wasn’t just about teaching skills; it was about shaping futures. I trained hundreds of students and played a vital role in developing a curriculum that helped elevate professional beauty standards across the industry.

As the years progressed, my passion for education only deepened. I had the honour of contributing to industry curriculum development with one of Australia’s leading beauty colleges, while continuing to teach and mentor aspiring beauty professionals. Guiding students and helping them discover their potential has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

My journey didn’t stop at beauty education. I expanded my qualifications into dermal science therapies in 2000, and nutritional medicine in 2017—further fuelling my belief that true beauty is deeply connected to health and wellness. Ageing well and with grace has become a personal and professional philosophy, and I am committed to empowering others to embrace this approach.

Over the decades, I’ve watched the industry evolve, and I believe, I’ve grown alongside it. But one thing has remained constant: my dedication to nurturing talent, advocating for holistic health, and inspiring confidence through education and care.

Today, I’ve come full circle, once again working closely with Elleebana—this time in a new capacity. I’m currently developing educational programs that align with the brand’s global reputation for excellence and innovation. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of shaping the future of beauty education on such a respected platform.

Looking back, I feel a deep sense of gratitude for this journey. The beauty industry has given me more than a career—it has given me purpose. And as I continue to contribute to the growth and education of our industry, I remain inspired by the people I teach, the lives I touch, and the ever-evolving world of beauty.”

Is Brow Lamination Safe During Pregnancy?

Pregnancy is an exciting and transformative time for many women, filled with anticipation and new experiences. However, alongside these changes come hormonal shifts that affect not just the body internally but also show up in hair, skin, and overall sensitivity to products—important factors to consider when deciding on cosmetic treatments like brow lamination.

Melissa Thompson, an experienced midwife and acupuncturist at Gold Coast University Hospital, works closely with expecting and new mothers. She highlights the significant influence of pregnancy hormones on hair and skin. “During pregnancy, many women notice changes in hair texture, such as new growth, loss, or structural shifts. These differences are largely due to fluctuations in hormones like Prostaglandin and Oxytocin,” she explains. As each woman’s pregnancy experience is unique, so is her body’s response to treatments.

How Pregnancy Affects Hair Growth and Texture

Hormonal changes can have varied effects on hair. For some women, pregnancy brings thicker, fuller hair, while others might experience thinning or even new curl patterns. In the breastfeeding stage, hair loss is common as hormone levels stabilise, causing shifts that may affect how cosmetic treatments like brow lamination and lash lifts take to the hair.

Due to these hormonal fluctuations, sometimes a brow lamination might not work on an expecting or breastfeeding mother, it could also mean the processing time that is required could be longer or shorter than usual.

If you have an expecting mother who books for in for a brow lamination, it is important to confirm if she has previously had this treatment performed with the brand that you are using.  Most times, if the mother has not had a brow lamination before falling pregnant, it would be recommended to not perform the treatment without educating the client of the potential issues such as the lamination not working/dropping out or over processing.

During Which Trimester Can You Get Brow Lamination?

While brow lamination is generally safe, some timing considerations can help ensure comfort and minimise risk:

First Trimester: The first trimester is marked by heightened hormone levels, nausea, and increased skin sensitivities. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers who do experience a reaction are not able to take antihistamines or antibiotics as these treatments can affect their child and so there are some cautions that need to be taken. Elleebana recommends avoiding brow laminations during this period due to the possibility of a stronger-than-normal reaction to the chemicals or odours in lamination products. Pregnant clients may also experience heightened nausea or discomfort from product fumes.

Second Trimester: This phase is typically more stable, making it the most favourable time for brow lamination. Nausea often subsides, and energy levels are usually higher, reducing discomfort from treatment. However, a well-ventilated space and the use of mild, tested products are essential to accommodate increased skin sensitivity and risk of nausea.

Third Trimester: The third trimester brings its own set of considerations, particularly physical comfort. Extended periods lying on the back can be uncomfortable or even unsafe. Brow artists can often modify their approach by allowing clients to sit up or ensuring supportive padding is provided during the treatment.

Essential Precautions for Expecting Clients

Whether your client is expecting or breastfeeding, a few simple steps can go a long way toward ensuring safety and comfort:

  • Consultation: Always perform a detailed consultation to manage expectations, as hormonal shifts may impact the final result.
  • Patch Test: Schedule a patch test a few days before the procedure. Skin is often more reactive during pregnancy, making it crucial to check for sensitivity.
  • Medical Consultation: Advise clients to discuss their plans with their healthcare provider, especially if they’re experiencing unusual skin changes or sensitivities.
  • Ventilation and Aftercare: Ensure the treatment space is well-ventilated, and recommend gentle, safe aftercare products, like our Advanced Aftercare serum or Hyaluronic Boost serum. Proper aftercare helps prevent irritation or infection, which is especially important during pregnancy.

Setting Clear Expectations

Managing client expectations is key to a positive experience, particularly when outcomes may vary due to hormone fluctuations. Clients who are informed and understand the potential challenges are more likely to feel satisfied with the results, even if they differ from pre-pregnancy outcomes.

The Importance of a Detailed Indemnity Form

Regardless of pregnancy, it’s always wise to keep an up-to-date indemnity form on file. This document should include any current medications or newly developed allergies to ensure the safest treatment experience.

BROW TRIMMING AFTER A BROW LAMINATION – SHOULD IT STAY OR SHOULD IT GO?

When it comes to brow lamination, the topic of trimming post-treatment often sparks debate among beauty professionals and clients alike. Should you trim those brows after a lamination, or is it best to leave them untouched? Let’s dive into the science and break down the facts.

LET’S TALK SCIENCE

At Elleebana, we’re all about the science. When we have questions, we dig deep into research, study reports, and base our findings on solid scientific principles.

So, does trimming or cutting your brow hairs after lamination cause damage? The simple answer is NO. While chemical services can impact hair health, trimming the tip of a brow hair won’t cause damage.

Hair growth is regulated by vascular, endocrine, and neural stimuli, as well as age and nutritional habits. The health of your hair starts within the follicle. Trimming doesn’t change the genetic makeup of your brow hair because it all begins at the base, in the follicle.

However, trimming can cause hair to feel and appear blunter due to the angle of the cut. For clients with thick or coarse brow hair, trimming rather than “debulking” the brow can result in a blunt finish, which might be less appealing, especially if the cut is too short or the natural growth direction isn’t considered. But, from what we’ve seen, no studies suggest that trimming post-lamination causes any real damage to the hair itself.

It’s important to note that we’re talking about lightly trimming the tips to even out the brows, not cutting away large sections!

There’s a common misconception that washing your brows 24 hours after a lamination causes the hairs to shrink. Let’s clear that up with some science!

During a brow lamination, we’re reforming the disulphide bonds within each hair, elongating them for that smooth, sleek look. If the lamination steps are done correctly, these bonds are stable and won’t revert to their original state just because you’ve washed your brows.

So, what’s really happening if you or your clients notice a change after washing? It’s likely due to the removal of a finishing product that adds temporary volume and density. Once rinsed, you’re seeing the true, beautifully laminated brow hairs. While these hairs are more manageable thanks to the lamination, they still need a bit of styling to achieve that perfect out-of-salon look.

When using Elleeplex Profusion lotions during a brow lamination, we remove the lotions with water during the service and allow the hairs to dry naturally. This lets us see the hair’s true response to the lamination and assess whether any trimming is needed to refine the final look. Trimming can alter the hair’s shape, texture, and appearance, so it’s essential to make these decisions carefully.

PERCEPTION OF BROW HAIRS

Have you ever noticed your brow hairs feeling a bit wiry after a trim? Trimming brow hair doesn’t actually alter the follicle itself, but it can change the way the hair feels and appears. The hair follicle, located beneath the skin, is responsible for producing hair and dictates the hair’s characteristics, such as texture, thickness, and growth pattern. Trimming affects only the hair shaft—the part of the hair that is above the skin.

Here’s how trimming might change the perception of the hair:

  1. Blunt Ends: Trimming cuts off the naturally tapered end of the hair, creating a blunt edge. This can make the hair feel stiffer or coarser because the tip is no longer fine and soft.
  2. Hair Growth Patterns: Over time, frequently trimmed brows might appear different in texture or direction. This isn’t due to the follicle itself but how the hair interacts with surrounding hairs and skin.
  3. Perception of Thickness: Trimmed hairs may feel thicker or more wiry simply because the cut end is more noticeable than the finer, natural tip. This can give the impression that the hair has changed in texture or thickness.
  4. Increased Curling: Trimming can also alter how the hair sits on the brow, potentially causing it to curl or stick out more if it grows back in a slightly different direction.

The follicle remains the same unless significant changes occur due to factors like hormones, aging, or other physiological influences. The perceived changes in hair type after trimming are mainly due to the altered structure of the hair shaft above the skin.

OUTLAWING TRIMMING?!

💭 Should Trimming Be Outlawed After a Brow Lamination? Let’s Unpack!

In the beauty world, there’s rarely a one-size-fits-all answer, and the same goes for trimming post-lamination. Whether to trim depends on the client’s brow shape, hair texture, and length.

For some, trimming is essential to achieve a polished, balanced look. Thick, unruly brows might need a little taming to perfect the lamination result. But for others—especially those with thinner or sparse brows—trimming could do more harm than good, potentially diminishing the shape unless those brows are meticulously styled every day.

Trimming the tails of the brows? Usually not recommended. Sometimes, all those longer hairs need is a bit of styling to stay in place. And let’s not forget the client’s goals—if they’re in the middle of a brow rehab journey, every single hair counts, so trimming may be off the table.

Ultimately, it’s about understanding each client’s unique needs and working with them to achieve the best results.

Pushing Boundaries & Supporting One Another

Here at Elleebana, the culture from day one has emphasized supporting one another. The team has witnessed incredible growth in its educators over the years, and they continue to achieve amazing things. At the beginning of this year, we held a bootcamp where we asked all of our educators what their 2023 goals were. This was an incredible exercise to kick-start another year of smashing goals and spreading inspiration and motivation. And the exciting part? They’re already seeing those dreams come to life!

Just to name a few; USA Master Educator, Kileigh was invited to the Atlanta Skin Games as an expert judge for the Lash Lift and Brow Lamination competitions. We’ve also seen many of our educators compete and place in the most prestigious and competitive brow and lash competitions around the globe. Our team is incredibly close, practically a family. Watching your work-fam step outside of their comfort zone and achieve incredible milestones, is one of the most special parts about working at Elleebana.

Master Trainer In the Spotlight – Meet Amy Carnelley

Rewinding back a few years/decades now ….

All through my school years all I wanted to be was a professional netballer, I played netball all through my primary and high school years and luckily enough played in some really great state squads which could lead me to my dream of playing netball for Australia one day… this was a dream of mine that unfortunately did not eventuate. But what I have taken away from my netball passion is my competitive edge that has always serviced me well to want to succeed in life and keep pursuing goals and dreams as they fall.

I was also that girl who experimented with every new beauty trend possible and I was one of those who wore the darkest longest lashes (lash education back then was scarce), the boldest darkest brows and the most orange tan and makeup you could think of. Whilst I still now cringe at the thought of this very look for myself, I know now that this was my evolution and we all need our own individual path to follow to progress through life at our own pace and on our own journey.

As my mum still tells me to this day, there is not one thing I didn’t want to try or want to succeed in. I have always had a natural competitive nature and always wanted to not only improve myself in either a skill or a personal development but I have always wanted to help other succeed in whatever their chosen field was.

My motive in life is and has always been to keep pursuing your goals even if those goals change; it’s all about self-development. I am a huge believer that even if you get thrown a mountain top full of multiple hills to climb it doesn’t mean that you have to reach the very top. Because that mountain top and those hills are forever changing as your life changes. Your life values and goals do not have to remain the same, as you climb the smaller hills it unravels new hills that may take you on a different path to what you originally were climbing for. That’s how we evolve as individuals whilst still meeting amazing people along the way.

My goal when I first began my beauty career back in 2006 was NOT to become an educator for an amazing global company that to this day I still pinch myself daily I am lucky enough to be involved with. But it was purely to do what I had an interest for which was beauty services.

I first started my Beauty career back in 2006 winning a scholarship that my older sister entered me into. And with this scholarship to the beauty college, I was able to complete my Diploma of Beauty therapy and gain a nationally recognized certification that I never thought would lead me down the path it did. I began working in Spa’s and doing massage, facials, manicures and pedicures… Very quickly learning that this was not for me…… this was my first of many hills I would climb and that would take me on my journey to reach my own mountain top.

Next came working in a salon that solely focused on hair removal, this I enjoyed a little bit more I think because it was more face paced and I could talk to the clients who I performed the service on. Much more engaging for me…. This hill I climbed and I liked…. However, if I was truly honest, I really found myself only liking the interaction with client’s part and the hair removal service part I did not necessarily dislike however I knew it wasn’t for me long term.

Continuing to Climb up my own hills and mountain top I then reached a wholesaler/distributor which I spent several years working for, this allowed me to follow my new passion and drive to interact with beauty like minded professionals and engage and talk all things beauty everyday all day. It helped me to gain my own self confidence and provide product knowledge and skills; and learn how to interact with different beauty professionals from all ages and skill levels. This gave me such drive and passion. I created relationships with my customers that I valued wholeheartedly. They made me want to be better and do better. I wanted to help them succeed in their business and their dreams. During this time, I worked on weekends with my own select clients doing makeup, lashes and brows which kept my foot in the door but with services I enjoyed performing and in my own time.

Now to my current position as a Master Trainer for Elleebana Global, this honestly is ticking every single box for me. My passion and drive lie within this company. I have been an educator for Elleebana now for 3 years and the feeling of educating students never gets old. It is so rewarding to see eager students wanting to learn from you and trusting in your every word is the most gratifying experience I could ever experience. They are my motivation every single day I go into work.

I have now been able to join my passion for lashes and brows with interacting/educating like minded professionals and also being able to progress myself professionally and personally. I have Elleebana and my students to thank every day for the feeling of pure satisfaction I get from educating.

No one really knows how far anyone can go but I really do feel like I have reached my very own special mountain top and it’s with Elleebana.… I truly hope my mountain top stays within Elleebana and I continued to climb hills with Elleebana now and reach even bigger heights and keep progressing.

I would not be where I am today without every single person I have met along my journey and the constant support of my little growing family and Elleebana family always wanting to see me grow and succeed. My amazing family and supportive husband who is the most caring husband and dad to our beautiful daughter…. And soon to be little growing baby (son) who will be born mid may this year. I am so grateful to have all of these positive figures around me daily.

Elleebana is proud of the fantastic and long-standing relationships it has with our distributors. As you know, over the last couple of months we have made some significant changes and improvements to our distribution structure in the USA. These changes were made after careful consideration and with the belief that they were in the best interests of our valued customers and clients. We had anticipated a smooth and professional transition, but we have become aware that over the past few weeks a number of inaccurate and misleading comments have appeared on social media spreading misinformation and painting Elleebana in a negative light. Despite this, we had hoped to move forward with positivity and not engage in a social media debate. We are excited to announce that we have established a subsidiary in the USA which will now be directly supporting the sub-distributors and trainers located there, offering the same exceptional standards of supply and education that our brand has come to be known for around the globe. We have over 30 sub distributors and 70 trainers located in the USA, each dedicated to providing you with the exceptional service and support you have come to expect from Elleebana. These sub-distributors and trainers strive to deliver the best in education and innovative products for our customers with integrity and honesty. It speaks volumes to us that we have this level of continued support and we thank these sub-distributors and trainers for their decision to remain with the Elleebana brand despite attempts to diminish our reputation.

While we understand that changes in distribution structure can create challenges, one benefit to this new structure is our ability to deal directly with the FDA. We are aware that one story being circulated involves Elleebana and the FDA. Elleebana has supplied goods into the USA for over eight years without issue. In December of 2019, a makeup remover product included in one of our kits had a label misprint which triggered an FDA review and delay. When we became aware that this issue was not being addressed with the necessary diligence, Elleebana interjected, directly discussing the situation with the FDA and swiftly rectifying the situation. We are currently working through compliance with the FDA and our products are now readily available for distribution in the USA.

With an Elleebana subsidiary in place as the primary USA distributor we are confident delays like the one that occurred earlier this year will no longer take place. Sadly though, while the internet provides many conveniences and benefits, it also makes it possible for companies to register URLs using a strong brand name to lure in customers through google searches and then swap them over to their other product lines. While we are flattered when companies choose to use the Elleebana strong brand reputation to draw attention to their websites, this unethical marketing approach can lead to our customers being mislead. Covid-19 Moving Forward

As restrictions begin to relax, we can see beauty salons begin to open their doors once again, however this won’t mean that things are going back to normal. The future of the beauty industry will be changed for years to come, so what do we need to consider?

Firstly, it is imperative to make sure you are 100% comfortable with opening your doors back up. Just because your local government gives the green light, does not mean you must open before you are ready. Secondly, ensure you take into consideration your staff concerns, are they ready to come back to work? And what measures will be taken to ensure the workplace is safe and stays COVID-19 free?

This is the perfect time to decide what the new normal of your salon will look like, and how day-to-day operations will be performed. There may be service and treatment limitations at this time and not to mention some of your clients may be a little reluctant to visit your salon, even if you go above and beyond the government requirements of sanitation.

The most fundamental area that will determine whether or not your salon will be successful after lockdown is hygiene and safety. Not just in terms of keeping your staff and clients healthy, but also for your reputation. It is important to look over your salon policies and update where needed, as well as incorporating what we may have previously considered “over the top”.

 

Some examples to add to your policy include:

  • Practice social distancing. Keeping clients 1.5m apart at all times.
  • All staff should wear a mask and gloves.
  • Going cashless. During this pandemic it has been recommended to eliminate the option of paying cash for services.
  • Don’t charge for cancellation if your client is sick and has to cancel at the last minute.

The setup of your salon will be a little different now but following the steps below will ensure the safety of your staff and your clients:

  • Have a welcome back sign, but with a COVID-19 twist. This sign needs to be within eye view outside your salon for clients to read prior to entering. We have done the work for you, click here for your copy.
  • Also ask your client to sanitise their hands upon entering your salon.
  • Create distance in your waiting area and ensure there is a full sanitation station available.
  • Remove items that your clients can touch. This includes product samples, magazines, lollies, service menus. Anything the client can touch, or hold should be removed to avoid spreading the virus.
  • Invest in a good quality infrared thermometer.
  • Place floor markers to measure safe distances for your clients.

Covid-19 Symptoms Checklist

Even though you have not used your salon for a couple of months, the next advice is important. Rewash all your towels and invest in a disposable bed roll so you can replace bedding between clients. Ensure you disinfect your workstation and tools between clients.

Many of your clients have missed appointments during your closure and they will want to know when and how they can rebook. Sending a courtesy text message or making a call will hopefully have you booked up in no-time! They know how many others are in the same situation, and they’re probably feeling a tad anxious about whether it’ll be difficult to get an appointment on the calendar.

If you have a plan already in place, communicate that with your clientele. Let them know if you’ll have a waitlist.

Last but not least, avoid hugging your clients and ensure you practice social distancing. We look forward to seeing everyone get back into it!

“I’m not talking about eyelash extensions placement or attachment, I’m talking about placement on the shields or rods during a lift. What is it exactly and why is it so important? Australia needs you!

It is with great sadness that we have to write this. We begin 2020 with unprecedented tragedy in Australia. The blazes, which have been burning across Australia for months, have destroyed over 1995 homes and wiped out entire towns.

Across Australia, nearly 18 million acres of land have been burned — much of it being bushland, forests and national parks, home to the country’s beloved and unique wildlife.

 

The Statistics:

  • There are 134 blazes continuing to burn across NSW, with 53 uncontained.
  • Since July 2019, more than 20 people have lost their lives, including 3 firefighters.
  • Over one billion animals have perished, and this has thrown our Koala species on the brink of functional extinction in NSW as the fires ravage their territory.

Fires are nothing new in Australia, but as our country has experienced extreme drought for many months, the land was a fire hazard with leaf litter and tree debris having not seen rain for months.

How can you help?

The charities that we have collectively chosen as a company to support each are for differing reasons. Many of the larger charities are receiving such widespread support and aid from celebrities and international assistance we have selected these charities as they are perhaps more unknown but equally as in need.

Each of these three men are younger than Otto and Zoe and they leave behind young families and wives. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (just 10 minutes’ drive from our head office) has received in excess of 12,000 koalas into its emergency hospital from the New South Wales fires. These koala’s need medical attention, burn and smoke inhalation recovery, food, and care.

The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is simply not able to house this amount of koalas after they have been cared for, so a local community of farm owners or property owners joined together to offer support assistance. This association is called Wildcare and will be fostering the koalas after their medical recuperation.

In an Australian first, Elleebana and Lashjoy have joined forces to put Australian lash talent on the global stage.

The two companies were on the lookout for two “outstanding lash stylists” to represent Australia at next year’s Lash World Cup in Amsterdam.

According to Elleebana director Otto Mitter and LashJoy owner Joy Crossingham, the World Cup, which will be held in February 15-16, is an outstanding opportunity to showcase Australian lash artists.

Mitter said he was inspired to launch an Australian lash team after attending the 2018 Lash World Cup with Elleebana general manager Zoe Mitter and master trainer Jess Eaton.

“We felt the competition was of an exceptional standard,” he said.

Entering a competition and what it can do for your business

Recent conversations with salons have led me to write a little article on why entering a competition should be something you shouldn’t only just consider and then file away in the too hard basket.

While scrolling through my Facebook feed, I noticed a post that caused a tear to well in my eye.  A post that I felt was incredibly true, real and something that regardless of the industry you work in, is a very raw and truthful statement.  The comment was, “I feel I am losing the passion for lashing – my heart just isn’t in it anymore”.  All of the sad face emojis followed…..

I offered words of comfort to this lovely lady who had lost her way and it got me thinking – without a doubt the lash industry can be a very lonely one, particularly for those who work in a solo situation.  If a stylist only ever sees clients, the only place where they feel comradery is in a forum where they are surrounded by other lash enthusiasts or at a conference with speakers who are talking their lash language – there isn’t a huge opportunity for lash stylists to keep their lash loving alive.

Or is there?

Here are some of the reasons why entering a competition might be just the ticket!

  • A personal growth opportunity – it takes skill to enter a competition, that’s for sure, but it also takes a little bit of courage because after all, you are putting yourself in a situation that might just be a little out of your comfort zone and it’s when you are out of your comfort zone, that is when you learn a little more about your own personal coping mechanisms and your ability to adapt.  We all need to be adaptable in our careers, but also in life, and so I feel that entering a competition can help you become adaptable and give you the ability to step outside of what is familiar and experience personal growth.
  • Confidence – comfort zones are just that – comfortable, but when we wiggle ourselves out of that safe space and begin to experience a little bit more of unfamiliar territory, it can really make you feel good about yourself.  You are trying something different and its for your own benefit – you can start to feel a little more confident about yourself both on a personal level, but also, you can begin to have confidence in the work you are performing on your clients.
  • Technical perspective – isn’t the saying “do what you have always done and you will get what you have always gotten” – Networking at a competition is a wonderful way to expand your technical skillsets.  It’s almost like looking at a fresh set of lashes all over again when you learn something new or hone in your current techniques with a slight adjustment that you picked up in a competition.  Often judges will give you constructive criticism which can be nerve-wracking but throughout the process, you gain new knowledge and expertise that you can take back to your salon and your clients.
  • Relationships – As mentioned earlier, staying within that same comfort zone instead of branching out to meet new people is easy and life needs to be easy for sure, but what are the possibilities that you might be missing out on?  With each new relationship that you gain, you build your network — which can help you professionally because we all learn from one another in some way, even if it’s only encouraging you to change your perspective or consider things differently – growth and learning is a bonus isn’t it?
  • Opportunities – Win, lose or draw a competition offers you the opportunity to promote to your clients that you are pushing yourself to be better.  This is worth marketing to your current clients as well as any potential new clients who will appreciate that you are attempting to excel in your chosen field amongst our peers, which in itself is inspiring.  Being an inspiration to others (including your clients) can also encourage them to do the same and before you know it you are raising people up all around you, and sometimes, this in itself is enough to help keep your own passion alive.

So why not look at what competitions or opportunities there are in your industry and dip your toes in the water….  Is there really anything to lose or everything to gain?

USA Symposium in Las Vegas, June 2018 was a huge success – We are striving to lift the standards of education and revise our techniques and always improve. This symposium in the USA was a monumental occasion not only for Elleebana but the lash industry.

We are proud to say we had 80 of our very own Elleebana USA educators attend this event and over the two days we worked hard but we also had a lot of fun! This symposium we spiced things up a bit by having guest speakers from other master trainers and our dear friend Trina Dial Horne (Maven Artistry) also presenting about Instagram mastery and branding.
