The Elleebana Way To Celebrate International Women’s Day - 8 Mar 2023

From the team here at Elleebana HQ, we want to wish our ellee-fam a Happy International Women’s Day! Whether you are a mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, or coworker, today is the day we celebrate all the remarkable women in our lives through expressing gratitude and celebrating their achievements. Fortunately for us, we have a lot to celebrate! We are extremely appreciative to be surrounded by the best lash and brow artists in the world, sharing their passion through Australia, the US, and the rest of the world. Taking advantage of the special occasion, we’d like to celebrate a few of our Elleebana trainers who completely exceeded their goals in 2022 and continue to encompass what we are all about; passion, dedication, education, and kindness.

Kristy-lee Roberts

Whilst living in the UK, our beautiful Kristy-lee trained as a beauty therapist and fell in love with all things lashes after completing her eyelash extensions course. Gaining experience in a local salon, Kristy-lee worked on perfecting her craft, exceeding KPI’s and mentoring new staff. Taking a huge leap of faith, she decided to move to Australia and landed her dream job at Elleebana to further develop her knowledge and step out of her comfort zone. It has been a wild ride for Kristy-lee and we have loved seeing her flourish into the amazing educator she is today.

2022 was a big year for Kristy-lee as she had the freedom to explore her creativity and try new things. She was awarded second place in The Skin Games within the Classic Lashes category. Another highlight for her was attending the Australian Beauty Industry Awards (ABIA) to witness Elleebana win an award and bond with her interstate colleagues. We asked Kristy-lee what being a woman means to her, and what she enjoys doing in her free time.

Anieka Mudford

Ever since she can remember, Anieka has had a passion for beauty as she grew up watching her mother train to become a qualified beauty therapist. When she started at Elleebana HQ in 2018, she was given the opportunity to train alongside founder and cosmetic chemist, Otto Mitter. Working closely with Otto on researching, product development, testing new products, and providing technical support, Anieka developed a passion for educating students around Australia and supporting them to achieve their goals.

Anieka has come a long way since starting at Elleebana, thanks to a burning passion for brows and lashes, her perseverance, and her growing confidence. Her debut as a guest speaker at PCC was one of her career highlights in 2022. Anieka was surprised by how much she enjoyed speaking publicly in front of a crowd, which was due to being passionate about sharing her craft. She also explored the world of beauty competitions where she received second place at the Kingdom Beauty Crown Championship within the Lash Lamination Professional Category. Anieka had a (lash and brow) PARTY IN THE U.S.A travelling to Chicago for a lash extensions boot camp and to the Las Vegas 2022 Symposium and as a guest speaker at IECSC. Another creative soul at HQ, we asked Anieka what she loves doing in her spare time.

We are constantly learning from the incredible women we get the pleasure of working with here at Elleebana and feel eternally grateful to have them by our side.
